The Driver Development Tool (DDT) is an effective tool to improve driver training, designed to assist in reducing the costs and risks associated with poor driving skills and behaviour. The system uses advanced technology to gather, record and report on driver performance in a training situation, including both the initial training of new drivers and the retraining of experienced drivers.

What is the Driver Development Tool (DDT)?
The Driver Development Tool (DDT) is an effective tool to improve driver training, designed to assist in reducing the costs and risks associated with poor driving skills and behaviour. The system uses advanced technology to gather, record and report on driver performance in a training situation, including both the initial training of new drivers and the retraining of experienced drivers.
How does the Driver Development Tool (DDT) work?
There are 4 cameras with in-built inertial sensors to capture and record driver’s control and habits, eyes focus, head movement and detect vehicle weight transfer. There is also a GPS sensor to track vehicle location and position with satellite.

The Driver Development Tool (DDT)’s portable in-vehicle logging system, cameras and advanced sensors allow performance data to be collected during a training session.
