Course Overview

The Refresher Course for Riders is designed for individuals who have not ridden a motorcycle for some time and need to regain confidence and familiarity with basic riding techniques. It focuses on rebuilding foundational skills and ensuring participants are comfortable handling a motorcycle again in a safe and controlled manner.

Participants will engage in a hands-on, supportive learning environment designed to rebuild their confidence and competence in motorcycle riding. Through guided practice sessions, interactive discussions, and real-time feedback from experienced instructors, learners will gradually reacquaint themselves with the essential skills of motorcycle operation.

The course emphasises safety, control, and awareness, allowing participants to progress at their own pace while reinforcing the importance of proper riding posture, wearing protective gear, and making informed decisions based on situational judgment.

By the end of the course, riders will feel more prepared and self-assured to return to the road with a renewed sense of responsibility and skill.

Learning Outcome

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

• Demonstrate a safe and methodical approach to handling a manual motorcycle
• Identify and operate the key controls and components of a manual motorcycle with confidence
• Apply basic riding techniques to regain control and stability
• Recognise the importance of wearing appropriate protective gear for personal safety
• Rebuild foundational riding skills to prepare for real-world road conditions
• A recap of riding the motorcycle in accordance with traffic rules

Enrolment Pre-Requisites

• A valid Class 2B License as a minimum.
• Must not have any class(s) of Qualified Singapore Driving License under revocation, disqualification or suspension.
• Applicants above the age of 65 or pregnant drivers must produce a certified doctor’s letter stating that he/she is fit for driving during the period of training.

Course Requirements

• Proper Riding Gear:
  Helmet (open face/ modular motorcycle helmet with clear visor and PSB approved sticker)
  Gloves
  Knee & Elbow Guards
• Proper attire – no shorts, slippers/ sandals are allowed

Learners can either bring their own riding gear or rent from CDC on the day of the course.
